MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017. Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album the year following. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano. Though his original career plan was that of veterinarian but his brother Julian advised him to begin learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
