Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, as well as all dramatic performances. At the age 16, she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. After 2000, she emigrated to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her home in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for art and music has her involved in a range of different projects. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
